I’M IN THE BAND was a show Disney aired about an original rock band. While we were considering the sound for a fictitious band in the show, authenticity was everything. The network provided us with some choice options of experienced music composers to consider. But so many of the options presented to us featured sounds that elicited a memory of an existing band or sound. Our show was about an original band and we didn’t want their music to sound derivative - we needed our audience to hear their music and think this band had mad composing skills. We narrowed our search for the perfect music composers down to experienced music producers with hits. The moment we heard Wilde West’s sound, it felt authentic. It came as no surprise to us that these veteran artists had triple platinum hit records under their belt. 42 episodes later, I can attest they are total pros and an absolute pleasure to work with. Working with with Wilde West on the music for a show I created was often more fulfilling than working on the show itself. I highly recommend Wilde West for your all of your series composing needs.

When it comes to films, most beginning filmmakers are focused on securing a good image and story. Granted both of which are very important, but where most beginning and even veteran filmmakers make mistakes is sound and music. Music alone can change the whole outlook of a film and what a filmmaker is trying to convey to the audience. That’s why when it comes to music and soundtracks for my films I immediately contact David Wilde. David truly captures the creative essence of the film and cranks it to ten. Not only is David a true musical maestro, but he is also the biggest pleasure to work with, he brings what so many people lack today; patience, humbleness, and the raw talent accrued from years of operating at the top level. David is a true gem to the industry, that’s why I am not only honored to call him a friend, but I would wholeheartedly say he is a personal role model to me and others on the team. From the first time I heard David's work and then had the pleasure of working with him, I knew I was in good hands; His power to bring new ideas and contribute to the project is often difficult to describe in words.
His patience and talent for work, explaining his ideas and kindness in dealing with others is rare to find in any industry, which makes the job more enjoyable and fun.
David's creativity is one of the things I admire most about his work, his ability to transform often not so interesting scenes and create a different sense and charm is something every filmmaker would like to have in their films.
No doubt it is a privilege to have worked with him and I hope to repeat the process in the future.
